It’s only natural to want an estimate – especially if you are ordering something for the first time, which is often the case when it comes to roofing or building envelope services.
You probably are also concerned about getting good value for your money – as opposed to just getting the cheapest price, because you have learned (sometimes the hard way) that you get what you pay for.
Not all estimate services are equal, so don’t make a buying decision until you have reviewed the exceptionally thorough Avenue Road Roofing estimating process:
- Your work request is filed in our data base and routed to a rep responsible for a specific trade or area of the city.
- You can expect a prompt call back, usually within 24 hours (during weekdays) of receipt of your estimate request. (The exception is when there are unusual circumstances, such as extreme weather, which can produce a surge of demand).
- If you have an urgent need, every effort is made to give your job priority.
- Your estimate is provided by a trained professional who is committed to providing a fair appraisal of the work, a standard we have maintained since the company was founded in 1975.
- Your safety is protected by ensuring all our estimators are subject to a criminal background check and maintain photo identification.
Your estimator is a highly trained professional who receives ongoing education on the latest products and technologies. He or she will contact you to learn more about your needs, discuss priorities, review options and develop a time line.
If you don’t have time for a meeting, the estimator may be able to visit the site independently to complete an evaluation. Most estimates can be completed with one visit, but large, multi-trade or complex specifications often require more than one visit.
When the estimate is complete, the estimator meets with the customer to discuss the results and next steps. If necessary, it is often possible to do this meeting when it is most convenient for the customer – evenings or during the weekend. Here’s what you can expect to discuss:
- Inspection results
- Proposed scope of work
- Available options
- Financing information
- Samples and literature from roofing manufacturers
